Q: Where do I check in?
A: All check-ins are normally done at the Baldwin Village Inn bed and breakfast at 9 Baldwin St. If you are staying at another inn, you can arrange for us to meet you at the inn you are booked in directly with sufficient advance notice.
Q: What are check-in and check-out times?
A: Check-in time is between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. unless otherwise arranged. Check-out time is 10 a.m.
Q: Is breakfast included?
A: Breakfast is included only at Baldwin Village Inn bed and breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. At Nest, Aerie and Burrow Inns, there is no breakfast, however, we provide coffee and tea supplies and there is a kitchen stocked with pots, pans and other basic cooking necessities. The same goes for the Major House.
Q: How much is the price of a room?
A: All rooms are priced individually. Please see the specific room for exact costs effective January 1, 2017. Prices listed are the rate for one person. Each additional person is $10 + tax/night.
Q: How much is tax?
A: Tax is 13%.
Q: How can I pay?
A: Payment can be made by cash, MasterCard, Visa, debit, wire transfer and email transfer. To make a reservation a credit card is required.
Q: What is the charge for additional guests?
A: For each additional guest a charge of $10/night + tax is applicable.
Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: 4 days or more from check in date: A cancellation fee of $50 per room per week will apply. 3 days or less from check-in date: No cancellation permitted. The full amount plus taxes will be charged.
Q: Do you have separate rates for longer-term stays?
A: For guests looking to stay for a longer term, we have monthly rates available during the winter season. We do not have weekly rates. Please contact us for rates and availability.
Q: What types of amenities are in the room?
A: All rooms come with a bed(s), nightstand, desk, chair and access to either drawers or a closet. We provide fresh bedding, towels and hangers for clothing. All bathrooms are equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a blow dryer. An iron and ironing board are provided at each location.
Q: Is there WiFi available?
A: Yes. All locations have free WiFi that works anywhere within the premises.
Q: Is it shared washrooms?
A: At the Baldwin Village Inn bed and breakfast, washroom facilities are shared. We have 3 washrooms for 6 rooms. Waits are minimal since everyone has different schedules. At the Nest, Aerie and Burrow Inns, each room has a private washroom.
Q: Can I store my luggage upon check-out if I have a later flight?
A: Yes, you are welcome to leave your luggage for the day if you have a late flight or train. We can help direct you where to put your bags. You will have access to the premises for the full day of your check out. For Major House, please call us for special arrangements.
Q: Is there air conditioning?
A: All locations have central air conditioning that is adjusted depending on the weather. Fans are provided in each room for additional circulation.
Q: Are you ADA accessible?
A: Although we are not completely ADA accessible, there are rooms available on the ground floor of the Baldwin Village Inn bed and breakfast. One step up is needed to get into the house and one step down is needed to get to the washrooms. Please contact us for more information.
Q: Where is the closest laundry facility?
A: For guests requiring laundry facilities, there are full laundromat facilities on Augusta in Kensington Market, less than 10-minute walk. They have large washers and dryers for use and a wash-and-fold service available. Detergent is also available for purchase in store. There is also a dry-cleaning service on John St, a 5-minute walk. For Major House, the apartment is equipped with washer and dryer equipment.
Q: Do you have roll-away beds?
A: Yes. We have roll away ad inflatable mattress if an extra bed is needed in the room. There is a fee of $10 per extra guest. We also have rooms with two beds available. Not all rooms will accommodate an extra bed. Major House has a convertible sofa bed. Please contact us for more information.
Q: What is your smoking policy?
A: We have a strict no-smoking policy for each location.
Q: Can I bring my pet?
A: No. Unfortunately we do not allow pets at any of the locations.
Q: If I have a car, where can I park?
A: You can purchase street parking permits from the city. There are also several parking lots located close to all locations. Please refer to the information provided.
